ALMABLISS Jewellery FAQ
What is the type of jewellery of ALMABLISS?
Â
ALMABLISS is a demi-fine jewellery business. Demi-fine jewellery is a term used to describe high-quality jewellery pieces that are crafted with precious materials, such as gold-plated sterling silver, and semi-precious gemstones. It offers a balance between fine jewellery and fashion jewellery, providing affordable luxury with lasting quality.
What materials are used in ALMABLISS jewellery?
Our demi-fine jewellery is crafted using gold-plated sterling silver, which provides a durable and beautiful base for our designs. We incorporate semi-precious gemstones, such as amethyst, citrine, garnet, and more, that are natural and sourced from reputable suppliers. We value ethical sourcing practices and strive to provide high-quality gemstones in our designs. However, we may occasionally use lab-created gemstones, such as high quality CZ that offer excellent brillance and are eco-friendly alternatives.
What is gold-plated silver?
Gold-plated sterling silver is a jewellery material that consists of a base metal of sterling silver, which is then coated with a layer of gold. This technique combines the beauty and durability of sterling silver with the luxurious appearance of gold. ALMABLISS jewellery is crafted using 14K gold on 925 sterling silver.
What are semi-precious stones?
Semi-precious stones are a category of gemstones that are valued for their beauty, rarity, and durability but are considered less valuable than precious gemstones like diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds. They include stones like amethyst, citrine, garnet, peridot, aquamarine, topaz, opal, turquoise, and tourmaline. It’s important to note that the classification of gemstones as “precious” or “semi-precious” is primarily a commercial distinction and does not necessarily reflect the actual value or beauty of the stones. Some semi-precious stones can be highly valuable and sought after, while certain precious gemstones may be less valuable due to factors such as rarity, size, or quality.
How long will the gold plating on my jewellery last?
The longevity of gold plating depends on various factors such as frequency of wear, exposure to chemicals, and individual body chemistry. With proper care and maintenance, the gold plating on your jewellery can last for several months to a few years. You can also consider getting your jewellery re-plated to restore its original shine and lustre.
Are the metals used in ALMABLISS jewellery nickel-free?
Yes, our jewellery is nickel-free. We understand the concerns regarding nickel allergies, and we take care to use materials that are safe and suitable for those with sensitivities. We only use 925 sterling silver and 14K gold.
Can I wear gold-plated jewellery if I have sensitive skin or allergies?
While gold-plated jewellery is generally hypoallergenic, individuals with sensitive skin or metal allergies may still experience some reactions. It’s recommended to perform a patch test or consult with a dermatologist before wearing gold-plated jewellery to ensure compatibility with your skin.
How is the authenticity of the gemstones used in ALMABLISS jewellery determined?
We source our gemstones from trusted suppliers who provide assurances regarding their authenticity. Additionally, we work with professional gemologists to verify the quality and authenticity of the gemstones used in our jewellery.
What does rhodium plating on white gold offer?
Rhodium plating on white gold jewels enhances their appearance by providing a bright white surface, improving scratch resistance, and boosting luster. This thin protective layer prevents tarnishing and offers hypoallergenic properties for those with allergies to certain white gold alloys. While offering a pristine and brilliant look, it requires periodic re-plating to maintain its effects over time.
